One of our key principles is a non-standard approach to form, where simplicity embraces individuality. The initial design of Taitō Poufs relied on two-size models. One supports the other in composition, each equally contributing to the surrounding space.

A pouf’s combination of rigid geometrical form and texturally gratifying upholstery is suitable for residential and public spaces. The aim was to create a solid, reliable structure with a comprehensible design, such as a square + cylinder merge. 

Taitō (対等) comes from Japanese, meaning “steadiness”, a word that captures the shape of balancing volumes.
