People usually view kitchens from a perspective that is planned and composed of a selection of materials based on colour, gloss level and texture. bulthaup moves away from this approach of selecting colour, gloss level or texture, and instead considers the character of the material: glossy, matt and wood. Seeing, feeling and sensing play a major role in the perception of rooms and places. In our presentation, we combine the different characteristics and show that the room has a different depth effect, especially in combination with light.
